The Royal Windsor Rose and Horticultural Society hosted its annual summer show launch party with more than 100 guests.

Taking place at the York Club, Windsor Great Park the evening revealed a host of exciting plans for the 115th show which will take place on Saturday, July 18.

Guests included dress designer to Princess Diana David Emanuel and ‘Cake King’ Michael Lewis Anderson, who will craft a magnificent rose-inspired cake for the show.

Staying on the rose theme, David Austin’s Chief Rosarian Michael Marriott announced that they will create a rose garden at the show and Bake Off Crème de la Crème winner Mark Tilling will craft his very own rose-inspired afternoon tea for attendees.

A Sir Winston Churchill look-a-like popped along for the launch party, announcing the show will celebrate the 75th anniversary of VE day with an interactive children’s marquee as well as the annual Windsor Castle Wheelbarrow challenge. The challenge will see 15 schools creatively compete to design the best wheelbarrow.

Show Manager, Alex Denman, said: "It was a wonderful evening with members and guests coming together to be inspired by exceptional speakers and sparking excitement for the Royal Windsor Summer Show in July.

“We hope many of the guests will be tempted to enter the many varied classes and by doing so will become part of a very special Windsor community which is open to all."
