Cippenham's Western House Academy has opened its new early years activity area.
The ESP play zone has been specially designed at the school in Richards Way by principal Coral Snowden to provide a modern, vibrant, stimulating and fun space for the 90 children in reception.
She said: "This is a clear signal of how important we believe it is to build early momentum and confidence in these critical early years. This area is something we have been working towards for a long time and I am delighted it is now a reality.β
The excitement has been building in the school for months and the children let out a great scream as the ribbon was cut on Monday last week by chairman of the governors Simon Carter.
Taking a momentary break from exploring each learning zone, happy Esmee McAteer, 4, summed it up nicely, saying: βItβs really fun and brilliant and I want to be outside all the time."
