BADMINTON Wycombe Performance star Dillon Chong won a silver medal at the European Under 15s Badminton Championships in Lievin, France.

Chong, who was only the ninth seed in the Boys Singles, battled his way to the final with some outstanding badminton and beat seeded players along the way.

Playing in his sixth match in just three days, he finally ran out of steam in the final and lost to Romeo Malboul of Sweden.

Both Lila Dundas and Jason Ou were also selected to represent England at the event. Dundas got through to the third round of the Girls Singles while unseeded Ou played extremely well in the Boys Doubles to reach the quarter finals - losing to the second seeds.

There was additional recognition for Badminton Wycombe when three of their senior performance players were selected to play for England in the European Team Championships at the same venue.
