TWO fire crews were called to a cellar fire in the early hours.
Two engines, one from Lymm and one from Warrington, were called to the incident at 4.40am at a property in Daresbury Lane, Hatton, Warrington.
On arrival crews discovered that smouldering from an open fire had gone under the property's floorboards.
A firefighter wearing breathing apparatus located the source of smoke logging under the hearth of the cellar.
Temperatures were monitored with a thermal imaging camera.
Firefighters left the property after an hour once the house was made safe.
