WINDSOR, Slough, Eton & Hounslow (WSEH) Athletics Club had a number of athletes competing in the South of England Indoor Championships at Lee Valley Stadium.

Ayoola Babalola was second in the Under 20s 200m in 44.94 seconds (secs) after just missing a medal in the 60m final where she finished fourth in 7.56secs.

Jasmine Presho was the gold winner in the U20s pole vault on 3.50m, with Kaliska Nowers in the bronze position on 3.40m.

Klaudia Nowers was also bronze winner in the U20s triple jump with 11.16m. Lionel Owona went one better in the high jump with his silver medal clearance of 2.05m.

In the senior women’s 60m, Lukesha Morris also notched a silver award with her time of 7.56secs.

In the senior men’s age group Blake Moore was just out of the medal hunt with his fourth place in the 800m in one minute and 55.79secs (1:55.79). Abraham Melbourne also performed well to take fifth in the pole vault with 4.30m.

In the U13-17s age groups there were more good WSEH performances. In the U17s long jump the consistent Katy Beadle took silver with her leap of 5.29m. Freya Withers was the shot winner with 12.66m.

In the U15s age group Demara Gumbs just missed out in the medal hunt with fourth places in the 60m hurdles (9.70secs) and the long jump (5m33).

Poppy Batchelor however made certain of the silver medal in the U13s high jump with a 1.35m clearance.
