The devastating gale that brought piles of dangerous debris crashing into Slough High Street has cost over three and a half thousand pounds in clear up fees writes James Bagley - but the cost will be claimed against the building owner’s insurance provision a spokesman for the council has revealed.
The overall clear up and recovery bill was £3,700.
A stretch of the High Street was closed for a couple of days after weather proofing equipment was blown off the roof of the flats. No-one was injured.
