A care home in Slough has been given a big boost by visiting health inspectors who rated it 'good' in all areas.
The Windmill Care Centre in Bath Road was visited by inspectors from the Care Quality Commission (CGC) - whose members regularly inspect every care home in England to check they are safe, responsive to people’s needs, effective, well-led and caring.
The inspection was unannounced and during their time at the Windmill the CQC team talked to people about their experiences of care, as well as talking to the staff, while checking systems and processes with the home.
Wendy Blackmun, the home manager at Windmill, said: “I'm delighted with the report and positive feedback from the CQC inspectors but even more delighted for the team at Windmill.
"I also want to thank the residents, their friends and families and our visitors from the local community who continue to support us and appreciate what we do."
Windmill Care Centre is part of the Maria Mallaband Care Group. It recently earned a review score of 9.5 out of 10 on the leading industry review site carehome.co.uk.
