The team at Windsor's Little Monkeys Nursery in Victoria Street has raised an amazing £2,088 for the town's hospice.

It follows a charity fun day which attracted families from across the area, who enjoyed a tombola, silent auction and raffle.

Bracknell Reptile Rescue was there, offering children the chance to meet some unusual creatures. Family games on offer included Bric Brac, guess the name of the koala and monkey - while several businesses in the area had taken the opportunity to have stands.

Emma Gealy, nursery manager, said: "We are very grateful how everyone got involved and enjoyed the day and we are all honoured to be able to raise money for Thames Hospice as this charity means a lot to us as a nursery."

Thames Hospice is currently based in Hatch Lane but will soon be moving to a new home at Bray Lake.
