The damaged Co-op frontage
Ramraiders tried to smash their way into the Cashpoint machine at the Co-op in St Luke's Road, Old Windsor in the early hours of Monday morning.
A Land Rover and a BMW sped up at 2am and tried to smash into the machine.
But they reckoned without staff at Punto Italian restaurant opposite, who were relaxing after closing up at the end of a busy Sunday night.
They came out to challenge three men trying to carry out the ramraid who left empty handed.
Anyone with information about the attempted raid is asked to call police 101, quoting 43200004822.
