Old Windsor will be alive with the Sound of Music this summer and you could be a part of it. The village's Riverside Players are staging the world famous musical in June and open auditions are being held at the Memorial Hall in Straight Road.
There will be two readthrough/singalong sessions on Monday, January 6 and Thursday, January 9 starting at 8pm, with auditions taking place the following week on Monday, January 13 and Thursday, January 16.
The first two sessions will be quite informal, with participants reading as much of the script as possible and singing some of the songs.
A large cast of all ages is required for this production, after all Captain Von Trapp did have seven children.
Details and character descriptions can be found on the Riverside Players website http://www.riversideplayers.com/current.shtml.
The show will be performed at the Memorial Hall, Old Windsor, from Thursday, June 25 to Saturday, June 27, including a matinee on the Saturday. Rehearsels are held every Monday and Thursday evening and there will also be some Sunday rehearsals.
Show week will require attendance every day. For more information, please contact the director, Kay Smith at kay@riversideplayers.com or 07809 634244, or come along to the hall and join in the fun.
