MAYFLOWER Theatre have announced a strictly magical star cast for their pantomime for 2020. Cinderella will star Craig Revel Horwood as The Wicked Stepmother and Debbie McGee as The Fairy Godmother.

Craig Revel Horwood is a well-known face on television in the UK and now all over the world, as a judge on all 17 series of BBC One’s Strictly Come Dancing. He wowed Mayflower audiences in 2017’s Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and returned to his roots as a performer in musical theatre, starring as Miss Hannigan in the UK national tour of Annie this year.

Next year, Craig will also be directing a new production of Baz Luhrmann’s Strictly Ballroom, which comes to Southampton in 2021.

Debbie McGee’s amazing performances on BBC1’s Strictly Come Dancing made the headlines. Not only was she the oldest contestant to ever reach the final, but also to be awarded the top score of 40 for her tango so early in the contest. Debbie and her dance partner Giovanni Pernice won Best Performance in the National Reality TV Awards for their performances on the show. Debbie was also thrilled to appear in the Strictly Come Dancing Live Arena Tour. For many years, Debbie worked alongside her late husband Paul Daniels in his award-winning BBC1 TV show The Paul Daniels Magic Show. Together they appeared all over the world and on hundreds of TV shows.

Produced once again by Qdos Entertainment, Cinderella will bring all the laughter, spectacle, special effects and festive magic audiences have come to expect each year from Southampton’s ultimate pantomime.

Join Cinders as she goes from rags to riches, outwits her very ugly sisters and meets her dashing Prince Charming.

Tickets for Cinderella, which will run from Friday December 11 2020 to Sunday January 3 2021, will go on sale on Tuesday, during the run of Peter Pan.
