A Maidenhead care home has been named ‘home of the year'.
Clara Court, in Courthouse Road, beat the competition to take the coveted Home of the Year trophy, one of 20 accolades handed out during the Residential Care Services (RCS) Stars awards .
The awards recognised individual and team excellence at more than 120 care homes nationwide across Care UK.
The panel of judges praised the home Clara Court for its positive and innovative approach to care, focusing on what residents are able to do rather than things they cannot do.
Manager Debbie Winwood said: “We had a wonderful evening at the RCS Awards ceremony. Hearing about our colleagues’ hard work and commitment to help residents living fulfilling lives was truly inspiring.
“It’s been an incredible year for Clara Court, from being rated ‘Outstanding’ by the CQC to receiving the ‘Home of the Year’ accolade in front of all of our friends and colleagues. We always strive to help residents live as independently as possible, so I’m so pleased our efforts have been recognised.
“This award is a testament to our talented team’s hard work and dedication in making Clara Court a wonderful place to live, so I would like to say a big thank you to them.”
