A popular Windsor community choir is holding its second Christmas concert after a triumphant debut performance last year.
Windsor Soundswell Choir will be presenting its programme of carols and seasonal songs on Tuesday, December 10, at 7.30pm, at the Old Court arts centre in St Leonard’s Road.
Audience participation will be welcomed.
The choir is led by composer, conductor and teacher Dr Guy Bunce from Virginia Water, who is also music director of choirs in Maidenhead and Egham and has written music for concert and films.
The choir’s accompanist Ingrid Attwater from Ascot is also an accomplished musician who has played at the South Bank, as well as giving solo recitals at regional summer festivals, music societies and other venues.
Also performing solo piano pieces during the concert will be singing teacher Chloe Spencer and Chris Towler, a long-standing member of the choir.
Windsor Soundswell Choir, which has more than 40 members, welcomes men and women – soprano, alto, tenor and bass voices - to join them at their Tuesday evening rehearsals, held at Trinity St Stephen Primary School, in Vansittart Road, Windsor. No experience or auditions are required and details can be found on their website www.windsorsoundswell.co.uk
Tickets for their concert on December 10, at 7.30pm, cost £10 and are available from the Old Court (01753 911333); www.oldcourt.org/sales; Windsor Tourist Office, or at the door.
