SLOUGH Town remain in the FA Trophy this season after a 0-0 draw at Concord Rangers in the third qualifying round on Saturday, writes Rob Stevens.

The Rebels were gifted the chance to break the deadlock inside seven minutes at The Aspect Arena when a handball offence was spotted by referee Steven Hughes at a corner kick.

Ben Harris took the resulting spot-kick but saw his first effort kept out by Concord keeper Chris Haigh.

The home team were unfortunate not to take the lead as Decarrey Sheriff teed up Joel Nouble but the striker hit the crossbar eight minutes before the break.

Concord came closest to scoring in the second half when Lamar Reynolds was played through one-on-one with Jack Turner but the keeper came to the rescue with a fine save.

Slough threatened the Rangers goal just once after the break as Sam Togwell headed over the crossbar from a Warren Harris cross.

The third qualifying round replay will take place at Arbour Park on Tuesday night (7.45pm).
