Staff from the Royal Borough's newly rebuilt Windsor headquarters at York House were joined by members of the public and Grenadier Guards from Victoria Barracks opposite - as they observed the traditional two minutes silence on Remembrance Day.

Deputy Mayor Cllr Gary Muir presided over the solemn occasion at 11am on Monday.

The previous day on Sunday, Windsor's Remembrance Service was held at Windsor Parish Church in the High Street - with the laying of wreaths on the War Memorial next door.

The town's Garrison Remembrance service was held simultaneously on Sunday at the Holy Trinity Garrison Church in Claremont Road.
