A woman was guided to safety by police last night after fire broke out in the bedroom of a house in Ennerdale Crescent, Burnham.
Four children escaped from the house at 10.30pm but police had to rescue the woman who was taken to hospital suffering from smole inhalation.
Fire services from Slough, Maidenhead and Langley were on the scene for three hours. The blaze caused serious damage to the room and smoke damage badly affected the rest of the house.
