BURNHAM failed in their attempt to complete back-to-back wins in the Hellenic League Premier Division for the first time this season after a 3-0 defeat at Ardley United on Tuesday, writes Rob Stevens.

A penalty kick from Twariq Yusuf and a Will McEachran goal gave Ardley a clear lead heading into the break at The Nolan Oils Ground, before Tobias London secured all three points with a spot-kick in the second half.

The defeat leaves Burnham third from bottom in the league table ahead of a trip to mid-table Tuffley Rovers this Saturday (3pm).

Windsor regained the winning thread following their 1-0 victory at Berkshire rivals Reading City on Monday night.

Reading were reduced to 10 men inside the first 20 minutes at Rivermoor as Steve Lee was dismissed for two bookable offences, and the visitors punished them with a single goal from Excellence Mahumba before half-time.

The win means Windsor have moved up to fifth position in the table ahead of a trip to eighth-placed Longlevens this Saturday (3pm).

Flackwell Heath continue to make progress in the Hellenic League Floodlit Cup after a 2-1 win against Binfield on Tuesday.

The Heathens took the lead midway through the first half at Wilks Park with a move that involved both Baines and Khalid Simmo before Leuis Sinclair was able to scramble the ball home.

The home team were unfortunate not to double their advantage moments later when a tap in was ruled out for offside, but did get a second goal before the break as captain Dan Bailey powered home from a free-kick.

Binfield pulled a goal back through Josh Helmore in the second half but it was not enough to take the tie to penalty kicks.

Flackwell return to league action and a trip to second-placed Bishops Cleeve this Saturday (3pm).

Risborough Rangers remain unbeaten in Division One East this season following their 2-0 win against Kidlington Development.

A penalty kick in the second half from Brian Haule plus a Ben Hammond goal secured all three points for Rangers, before Thame saw Adrian Smith sent off late on at the Windsors.

Risborough welcome Thame back to the Windsors but this time in cup competition this Saturday (3pm).

Langley are out of the Hellenic League Supplementary Cup this season after a 2-1 defeat at Didcot Town Development.
