THE Thames Valley Police Museum is reopening.
Following the completion of the refurbishment of the White House, the museum has returned to its original location in Sulhamstead.
Chief constable John Campbell, chief inspector Zahid Aziz, museum curator Colin Boyes and museum volunteers celebrated the return with the cutting of a ribbon on Thursday, September 26.
The museum includes displays on the history of Thames Valley Police and the five police forces that merged to form it: Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxford City, Oxfordshire and Reading Borough.
The museum’s collections include items from the Great Train Robbery of 1963, uniforms, equipment, scenes of crime evidence and Amelia Dyer, the baby farmer.
Visits to the museum are continuing and are by appointment only. (Except on a ‘non-appointment’ Wednesday between 10am and 12pm).
For more information about the museum, visit the website or to book an appointment please email TVPmuseum@thamesvalley.pnn.police.uk.
