A FOUR vehicle crash on the M4 has caused long delays near Reading.
Three people, including a three-year-old, have been taken to hospital with injuries.
Highways England posted a tweet about the incident, saying: "#M4 Westbound #J11 to #J12 has two lanes closed due to a traffic accident. Emergency Services on route. #Reading."
It was later added that there was approximately 3.5 miles of congestion following the incident.
All lanes are currently closed, and Highways England are advising drivers to plan their journey ahead and allow extra time.
A spokesman from South Central Ambulance Service said: "We received multiple calls about this collision from around 12.20.
"We’re taking three patients (one child, aged 3, and two adults) to the Royal Berkshire Hospital – one in an ambulance and two in a rapid response vehicle – and their injuries are not thought to be serious or life-threatening."
