This week, we asked for you to nominate the best things to do with children when the Summer weather is being classically British.

If you’re struggling for things to keep the kids entertained with as the summer holiday continues, here are the Bucks Free Press readers nominations.

1) Hellfire Caves, High Wycombe - The most popular suggestion amongst our readers was Hellfire Caves in High Wycombe. You can enjoy a tour around the long, winding passages and learn about the paranormal history that exists within the caves.

2) Rush UK, High Wycombe: The trampoline park is a hugely popular hit amongst our readers. You can enjoy a day of burning off energy on the trampolines, games of dodgeball and classic obstacles. This may be a great place to go if the kids have been cooped up inside for a couple of days.

3) Roald Dahl Museum, Great Missenden: Based in ‘the heart of Roald Dahl country’, learn more about one of the countries finest ever children authors, learn tales about his life, enjoy a virtual tour and take in breathtaking views in the surrounding countryside (if the weather holds out!)

4) Hughenden Manor, High Wycombe: The Victorian mansion is one of the most striking properties in Bucks and it has been a popular recommendation for a family day out amongst our readers. Formerly a country house of Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli, the interior is striking and can be enjoyed by the whole family. The buildings gardens are expansive and offer a great chance to enjoy the great outdoors with your children!

5) Wycombe Arts Centre, Wycombe: Lastly on the list is Wycombe Arts Centre. The community facility provides a hub for a lot of exciting projects, community clubs and other public uses.

Do you agree with our list? Is there anywhere you like to take your kids too that have not featured? You can send our reporter Matt an email by contacting matt.joy@newsquest.co.uk.
