Young smoothie lovers 'got on their bikes' on Tuesday to create their favourite drinks.

Visitors to Windsor Yards shopping centre off Peascod Street were invited to pick their chosen fruit, which were then popped in a blender on a specially adapted bike with pedal power turning the ingredients into a refreshing drink.

The day before on Monday visitors of all ages took part in a craft activity which encouraged event-goers to explore their creative abilities. Budding designers gave the Windsor Yards branch of Clintons a run for its money and showed a fantastic display of artistic flair using felt tips, stickers, stamps, ribbons and glitter to create colourful greetings cards.

It was all part of Wellbeing Week at the centre.

Robert Gramson, centre manager of Windsor Yards, said: “We are thrilled with the great reception Wellbeing Week has received. The idea behind the activities is to encourage togetherness through trying something new or different, while laughing and talking - it has a truly wonderful effect on both physical and mental health."

Other events during the week include Zumba, yoga, a pop-up cinema, language classes and dog petting with Battersea.
