A beautiful bumble bee made quite an impression at the Royal Windsor Summer Show on Saturday.
The bee had been created by clever pupils at Bishopsgate School.
They had been one of 10 schools across the area given free wheelbarrows by Royal Windsor Rose and Horticultural Society in which to grow plants to display at the show. The schools brought their barrows along to the show, which was held at St George's School, Windsor Castle.
The Bishopsgate barrow stood out.
Show manager Alexandra Denman said: "They had decorated it with papier mache and created a giant bumble bee with wings made of sweet peas and its body made of sunflowers."
Needless to say the school from Englefield Green was declared the winner by judges - Peter Seabrook of Gardener's World fame and Phil Carter who is head gardener at Windsor Castle
Alexandra said: "It was the 114th show and a great success with 650 entrants. We also had a new layout and a wide variety of classes - one winner was in his 80s."
Peter Seabrook was not the only illustrious judge at the show.
David Emanuel, the fashion designer who created Princess Diana's wedding dress, the Governor of Windsor Castle Admiral Sir James Perowne and his wife Lady Nicola also judged classes.
Nobody forgot that this year is the 200th anniversary of Queen Victoria's birth and four flower clubs contributed special displays in her honour.
Another special guest at the show was 'the cake king of Belgium' Michael Lewis-Anderson who brought along an amazing sugercraft replica of Queen Victoria's wedding cake which he is taking on tour.
