Slough's MP Tan Dhesi will cut the ribbon on Friday when Stoke Poges Lane Post Office reopens after a major refit.
The big event happens at 11am, attended by the new postmaster Gurcharan Singh and his cousin and business partner Gurjinder Singh.
Former postmaster Vinod Patel, who ran the branch for 42 years, has retired.
A new-style Post Office counter has been installed alongside the retail till allowing the service to operate throughout the store’s full opening hours of Monday to Sunday 7am to 11pm.
This is an extra 66 hours of Post Office service a week including all-day Sunday and Saturday afternoons.
The branch opens significantly earlier and now closes much later every day, making it more convenient for customers to visit.
