Police are looking for a witness who may have vital information in connection with a burglary where a man was threatened with a screwdriver before the thieves made off with cash, jewellery and mobile phones in Maidenhead.
It comes after five or six people broke into a property in The Fairway between 10.40 and 11.50pm on Thursday, June 20.
The occupants, a man, woman and two young children were asleep when they forced their way in. They then slapped the man and threatened him with a screwdriver before stealing £2,000 in cash, jewellery, including a wedding ring, and three mobile phones.
They were all wearing black clothing and had their faces covered with masks, and are believed to have fled the scene in a silver Audi.
The man police want to speak to, pictured in the CCTV image above, was believed to be talking his dog in The Fairway around the time of the incident.
Investigating officer, PC Rebecca Stevens of Force CID, said: “I am appealing for the man in the CCTV to come forward, as he may have seen the vehicle that the offenders were using, which was a silver Audi, potentially an old version of the A3 or A4 model.”
If you know the man in the picture or have any other information relating to the incident, call 101 quoting reference 43190186851 or make a report online.
