A seven-year-old boy and his mum have celebrated the passing of a year since his last treatment for acute lymphoblastic leukaemia - by holding a fund raising fun run in Black Park for the charity that helped make his dreams come true.
Freddy McNeill was diagnosed when he was two.
His mum Louise Down teamed up with her friend Zoe Merritt to organise a celebratory fund raising fun run and picnic at Black Park in Wexham in aid of the children's charity Rays of Sunshine on Saturday.
The charity helps make wishes come true for seriously ill children and has arranged a trip to Orlando Disneyland in the States for Freddy and his mum.
Louise said: "They also did a lot of things to help and support us when Freddie was ill so I wanted to thank them.
"We had a superhero theme to the 3k fun run and Freddie dressed as Captain America."
Another big attraction at the event was a performance of Maori Haka dancing from New Zealand by special guest Brus, who travels the world giving displays.
Freddie and his mum live in Hillingdon.
