Firefighters from Langley and Slough battled a smouldering tree in the village of Horton on Monday afternoon.
They were called shortly before 3pm to the 6m high tree in Bell Lane, after nearby electric cables fell and set fire to it.
The three fire crews were there for an hour ensuring that the tree did not erupt into flames and threaten passing traffic or people.
A team from Southern Electric also came to deal with the cables.
