Police are back out in Marlow today to catch out drivers of overweight vehicles using the town's weight-restricted bridge.
The pre-planned operation comes after a successful stint at the bridge last Monday in which 56 tickets were handed out to drivers flouting the rules.
They warned they would be back - and they have returned today.
PC Derek Ingram of the Joint Operations Unit for Roads Policing based at Taplow, said: “We have received numerous complaints from the residents of Marlow regarding overweight and over-laden vehicles using Marlow Bridge, and this high-visibility operation is aimed at targeting these vehicles, offering advice to drivers and taking action where offences are committed.
“We are also running a simultaneous ANPR operation in the area today, targeting vehicles that have no insurance, tax or MoT and other motoring offences."
