Family favourites Wallace & Gromit are coming to Slough's Queensmere Observatory shopping centre on Friday, May 31.

The loveable characters are celebrating 30 cracking years since their first short film, A Grand Day Out premiered in 1989. Visitors to the shopping centre will have the chance to see the duo up close at intervals throughout the day and snap a memorable photo with the pair – shoppers are reminded to say cheese.

Speaking of grand days out, for the rest of June Queensmere Observatory are hosting several family fun days and fundraising events as part of the One Great Day campaign, in support of Great Ormond Street hospital and chosen charity Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice. There will be bucket collections on Friday, May 31, a table tennis competition in the Ping Pong Parlour on Saturday, June 1, a charity wax on Saturday, June22 and face painting on Friday, June 28.

Wallace & Gromit will be making five appearances throughout their day at the centre between 11am and 4pm.
