A man accused of murdering a father-to-be in a Slough car park appeared in court this week.

Aqib Pervaiz, aged 26, of Rochford Gardens, Slough, has been charged with murder in connection with an incident that resulted in the death of 24-year-old Nadeem Uddin Hameed Mohammed, from Southall, in the car park of Tesco, in Wellington Street, last Wednesday (May 8).

Mr Mohammed, an assistant manager at Poundland in Slough, was found stabbed in the chest and taken to hospital where he sadly died.

His friends say he got married 10 months ago and his wife is seven months pregnant with their first child.

Pervaiz, who was arrested last Thursday (May 9), first appeared in Reading Magistrates' Court on Saturday (May 11) where the case was sent for trial to Reading Crown Court.

He then appeared at the crown court yesterday (Monday) to confirm his personal details.

He is expected to enter a plea at a hearing on July 8, with a provisional trial date set for October 2, and has been remanded in custody.
