South Central Ambulance Service has rubbished speculation the Duchess of Sussex could have given birth after an ambulance was spotted on the Windsor Estate.
A number of national media reports suggested baby Sussex’s arrival could be imminent after the ambulance was seen reportedly parked near the couple’s Windsor home, Frogmore Cottage.
SCAS said in a statement: “South Central Ambulance Service will continue to care for all patients in the Windsor area in the usual way.
“It is not possible to comment on the general movement of ambulances around the Windsor area and patient confidentiality must be respected at all time.
“Furthermore, we do not comment on operational matters relating to members of the Royal Household.
“The photograph circulating in the media today was one of our driver training vehicles (similar to the one pictured) which was parked in a publicly accessible area of Windsor Castle grounds.”
The duke and duchess moved into Frogmore Cottage ahead of the birth of their first child. They are rumoured to be considering having a midwife deliver their baby at their home.
