A new information website is offering details of services for children across the Royal Borough.

It has been created by Achieving for Children, which delivers children’s services on behalf of the Royal Borough and is designed to offer a more user-friendly format than the old Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) Local Offer site (www.rbwm.afcinfo.org.uk/local_offer).

The web address of the new site is www.rbwm.afcinfo.org.uk

Kevin McDaniel, Director of Children's Services - Achieving for Children, said: “I am delighted to be able to offer this revamped website giving children and young people in our borough access to a range of information and support. This is only the first phase of the launch and as we progress throughout the year, we will be engaging further with community groups, children and young people to understand what they want from this website and how we can continuously improve it.”

An expanded youth section will be rolled out in the next few months with information about youth service, emotional health, learning, training, working, and volunteering opportunities. It will also include information on activities and events in the local area.

The final section due to launch later this year will be the community information area. This will provide information for the wider community of parents, carers and community partners including childcare providers, schools, voluntary sector and employers.

Users will be able to find information on subjects such as childcare, early education options, family support, parenting and emotional health.
