Windsor Lions are gearing up for the Annual Funfest for disabled children.

It is is all set to go on Sunday, April 7 from 2pm to 6pm at the Windsor Leisure Centre, in Stovell Road. Over 150 disabled children with their friends and families have already registered and with over three weeks still to go record numbers are expected to attend.

The objective of the event is to provide disabled children and their families – representatives of many different special schools and charities – from all over the Home Counties an afternoon of fun with a spectacular array of recreational activities

The early afternoon will consist of a session in the main halls of Windsor Leisure Centre where a range of fun events will be available. These will include human table football, an obstacle course, bouncy castles, Wii Games, as well as the new popular bungee run. The second session from 4pm to 6pm will focus on the Leisure Pool with its wave machine and slides where the event has exclusive use for Funfest dedicated play time. In addition there is a children’s entertainer for the three to eight year olds.

Windsor Lions’ event organiser Paul Skinner said: “It is all very exciting. We wanted this year to break previous records and it certainly looks like we will do just that. Over 150 youngsters with their families and friends have already registered but we have a space for many more. Any person or organisation wishing to attend what is a free-of-charge fun afternoon should contact me at funfest@windsorlions.co.uk or phone 07980 547147 for details. I will be delighted to hear from them.”
