Police are appealing for witnesses after a cash machine filled with a large quantity of money was stolen during a burglary in Maidenhead.

At approximately 4.15am on 28 February, unknown offenders in two vehicles rammed the front of the KSP Superstore in Waltham Road, stealing the cash machine from the premises and dragging it along the road with one of the vehicles.

The cash machine was loaded into a van before the offenders fled the scene. Nobody was injured during the incident, but a considerable amount of damage was done to the shop.

The cash machine was late recovered, but the cash had been taken out of it. Two offenders were seen, with both believed to be men dressed in hooded clothing. No further descriptions are currently available

Investigating officer Detective Constable Laura Joyce of the Investigation Hub based at Maidenhead police station, said: “This incident took place in the early hours of Thursday morning, and I am appealing to anybody who believes that they witnessed this, or have any information relating to it to contact police.
