Reading Council has urged residents to be aware of essential works being carried out during the next few days.

Broad Street Mall car park is undergoing some works, and the council have asked all users to take care whilst entering and leaving the car park as teams will be working in the traffic lanes.

Until February 28, there will be work done on the ramps into the car park and to all levels.

This is to widen, where possible, the ramps so that they can more comfortably accommodate the larger modern car.

On the mornings of March 2 and 3, work on part of the entrance road leading to the Broad Street Mall underground loading area will be taking place, as well as on the car park entrance approaching from the Cheapside roundabout slip road.

The council are would advise all users accessing the car park before midday do so from Castle Street.
