A 17-YEAR-OLD cyclist who suffered serious head injuries in Taplow on Friday may have been the victim of a hit and run driver.

Thames Valley Police are appealing for witnesses to the accident which happened between 5.55pm and 6.15pm in Berry Lane.

The teenager is believed to have been knocked off his bike and was taken to hospital with a serious head injury. He remains in the John Radcliff Hospital, Oxford in a stable condition.

Investigating officer PC Ben Eastment of the Roads Policing Unit in Taplow, said: “Currently an investigation is ongoing to establish what happened.

“One line of enquiry is that a vehicle collided with the cyclist and failed to stop at the scene of this collision.

“We would like anyone with CCTV or dash-cam footage from Berry Lane around that time on Friday to get in touch."
