Slough, Windsor and Maidenhead are in an area earmarked for further snow this morning.
The Met Office have issued an amber weather which will be in place until 11am. The Met Office have warned residents:
- Travel delays on roads are likely, stranding some vehicles and passengers
- Some delays and cancellations to rail are likely, and perhaps air travel
- There is a good chance that some rural communities could become cut off
- Power cuts are likely and other services, such as mobile phone coverage, may be affected
From midday, any snow will turn to sleet and possibly rain, with the chance that heavy rain showers will move in from the south later. It will remain cold and windy throughout the day.
Tonight, any further showers will clear to the east with most places cloudy but dry by dawn.
