EXCITED members Windsor St George Rotary Club were given special permission to plant trees in Windsor Great Park.
They were were responding to the challenge set by last year’s Rotary International President Ian Riseley, calling on members everywhere to do their bit for the environment.
Six members of the club spent a morning in the Deer Park, near Bear’s Rails, planting 30 trees thus helping in the Rotary Initiative.
They were working in conjunction with Paul Sedgwick, the Deputy Ranger of Windsor Great Park. Acorns from King Offa’s Oak were collected by the park rangers and grown into young trees which the Rotarians planted.
