A SELL out sale of mugs and tea towels will help a four-year-old boy with cerebral palsy launch his education.

The mugs and towels boasted an image of the Dedworth clock which was installed in 2017 to commemorate the Queen's sapphire jubilee. Ward councillor Ed Wilson arranged for them to be produced and news agents Daljit Toor from Dedworth Convenience Stores and Bill Cheema from Windsor News put them on sale.

They sold out in 48 hours and now £400 has been raised to help pay for little Callum Singleton to continue receiving physio and speech and language therapy with the Maidenhead based Marbles movement and learning centre.

The treatment has to be paid for privately but is vital in helping Callum progress his education at Dedworth Green First School.

Callum has already turned on the lights on the Dedworth Christmas tree and is a popular figure in Dedworth.

His mum Louise Webbon said: "We get so much support from the community and have been very lucky. But it is can get stressful, we have had to fight for everything to ensure that Callum gets the best chance in life."

Louise, 34, works at Wexham Park Hospital as an early years practitioner, looking after the children of hospital staff. Callum's dad Darren, 39, looks after him full time.

Cllr Wilson said: “Callum is a great lad and all the money raised from the sale of these items will help give him a better start in his education. I am grateful to our local newsagents Bill and Daljit for selling these items and thank all those residents who bought a mug or a tea towel to support Callum."
