Entrepreneurs in Slough are being invited to take part in ten-day course aimed at helping people get their business up and running.

The free course will be hosted at the Curve will help new business owners grasp all the modern necessities for a successful business. The course includes how to:

  • Start a business with no money
  • Build a free website
  • Understand how to effectively use Social Media and Google to publicise your business
  • Register the company and pay tax

A total of 80% of previous attendees have started a business that is still making sales 18 months later. In addition, 30% of participants have started their business before the end of the course and 27% have made their first sale.

Leader of Slough Borough Council James Swindlehurst said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone who has just started a business and needs more support with different aspects of their business, or those thinking of branching out on their own.

“Slough has always been a town of innovation and creativity and we have a great community of entrepreneurs. I am delighted we can offer support through the pop-up business school for budding new businesses.”

The course will begin at the Curve on Monday 21st January and run until Friday 1st February from 10am to 3pm. The sessions are free, but the places are limited so it is recommended that those wishing to attend book in advance.
