THE Old Court Arts Centre was packed for an evening of Christmas music performed by a Windsor community choir last week.
The audience at the centre in St Leonard's Road joined in with Windsor Soundswell choir for some of the more familiar carols.
But the diverse programme of seasonal music also included a Calypso carol, an African lullaby, a Shoshone love song and a carol written by the choir’s music director Guy Bunce.
Soloists included choir members Harriet Frankl and Chris Towler, voice coach Chloë Spencer and the choir’s accompanist Ingrid Attwater, who played a piano piece also composed by Mr Bunce.
Windsor Soundswell Choir, which has 40 members, welcomes men and women to join them at their Tuesday evening rehearsals, held at Trinity St Stephen Primary School, in Vansittart Road, Windsor. No experience or auditions are required and details can be found on their website www.windsorsoundswell.co.uk. The new term starts on Tuesday, January 8, at 7.30pm.
