FESTIVE carollers turned out for a good cause last Thursday to support Launchpad Reading’s annual Christmas service.
Reading Minster hosted a capacity congregation of more than 800 guests to help raise money to tackle homelessness.
The Carols by Candlelight service raised more than £8.000 from ticket sales and donations on the night.
Celebrity guests included Chris Tarrant and Danyl Johnson, as well as Matt Allwright, who raised awareness for the charity’s 40th anniversary next year.
There were performances from Reading Bach Choir and The Hawthorns Primary School.
