Children from the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Slough & South Bucks Choir delivered a Song for Peace at the annual Burnham Christmas Fair on Thursday on The Green, outside Burnham Park Hall.

The presence of the War Memorial opposite added an extra poignancy to the occasion.

Atiq Ahmad Bhatti, President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, said: "The children are invited to perform the song for peace every year by the Lions Club of Burnham.

"It is a great honour and humbling to be able to contribute to this important annual community event that brings joy and happiness to the residents of Burnham. It’s a brilliant time of year and the children very much look forward to singing at this fair every year.”

During the fair the village’s Christmas lights were turned on and there was a children’s parade for visitors to watch.

Burnham Lions ran the event, which offered a wide range of attractions for people to enjoy in the vibrant village.
