VOTERS in Datchet have chosen their former parish council chairman David Cannon as their new representative on the Royal Borough.
Conservative candidate Mr Cannon, who is chairman of Windsor and Eton District Scout Council, earned 525 votes in a 24.7 per cent turn out at Thursday’s by-election which followed the death of Cllr Jesse Grey.
Parish councillor Ewan Larcombe standing for the National Flood Prevention party polled 223 votes.
Labour candidate Deborah Foster polled 121, Green candidate Christopher Moss polled 21 and Liberal Democrat Tim O’Flynn - who is a parish councillor - polled 48.
