Five teenage girls - one aged 13 - have been charged after a man was robbed and stabbed outside Slough railway station.

The brutal attack happened last Thursday.

A 17 year old girl was charged on the same day with grievous bodily harm, theft and possession of an offensive weapon.

A 17 year old girl, a 15 year old girl and a 13 year old girl were charged on Thursday with grievous bodily harm and theft following their arrest on the same day.

A 16 year old girl was charged on Saturday with grievous bodily harm following her arrest on Friday. 

All of the girls are from Slough and cannot be named for legal reasons.

The charges relate to an incident in Brunel Way, opposite the train station, when a group stole property from a man who was then assaulted and suffered a stab wound.

The teenagers are all due to appear at Maidenhead Youth Court today.
