ENJOY a day of free opera in Slough's Observatory Shopping Centre on Saturday, November 10 - straight from the Royal Opera House.

The Home on the High Street arts centre which is based on the old Top Shop site will be playing host to professional singers, performing a potted version from one of their most popular operas La Traviata throughout the day.

The 25 minute performances will start at noon, lasting 25 minutes and starting every hour and a half until 6pm.

The following Saturday, November 17 there will be a chance to enjoy a variety of attractions at the 'Home'.

There will be lantern making workshops with Cristina Ottonello, as well as A Musical Adventure as bite-sized classical pieces for children aged 0 to 7 performed by Dionysus Ensemble, offering plenty of chances for young feet to get up and dance to the music.
