The first ever Wrayfest music festival has been a big success.
It was the brainwave of Mark Foster who has chaired Wraysbury's summer and Christmas fairs in the past. He formed a committee some months ago to stage the village's first music festival and family day in the park which took place in the Memorial Park on Saturday, September 15.
A stage on a lorry was provided for the local music groups and solo artists to perform continuously every half hour from 1 pm to 7 pm, when the festival closed.
For the young there was a marquee for disco dancing, while several villagers gave their services free as marshalls.
