A congratulations card for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex (better known as Harry and Megan) was unveiled on the Long Walk at Windsor last week - all 1,300 metres of it.

It had been made up of hundreds and hundreds of individual cards created by children and royal fans across the area and was the brainchild of the team behind Busy Buttons Creative Studio - the education and design centre based at Windsor Yards.

Owners Louella Fernandez-Lempiäinen and Lautaro Lempiäinen joined with their son Leon, eight, unveiling it after it was delivered by soldiers from the Household Cavalry.

Children from three schools which took part in the project — Datchet St Mary’s School, Dedworth Middle and St Edwards First — were present, along with the former Mayor and Mayoress of Windsor and Maidenhead, Cllr John Lenton and his wife Margaret, who had contributed their own cards.

It is hoped the card will make the Guinness Book of Records.
