A dog show, vintage cars, tractor rides and a princess fancy dress all entertained the 2,000 people who enjoyed Holyport Fair on Saturday.

There was a sapphire theme to mark the 65th anniversary of the Queen's Coronation, allowing Andy Birrell to dress as a 'coronation chicken' on the pot luck stall.

Vintage cars and classic motorbikes gave people something to admire, while stalls sold everything from plants to jewellery.

There was face painting, a merry-go-round, bowling, a tractor ride, princess fancy dress, a basketball hoop challenge run by FC Holyport, a coconut shy and a bouncy castle.

The tug of war that rounded off the day saw the George on the Green team win the men's trophy and Holyport Street Ladies win the women's.

Arti The Elf and CBeebies’ Jane Deane launched the fair and commentated throughout.

It may have been something to do with the hot weather but people started arriving early and stayed the course.

The dog show attracted queues - even if the hot weather became a little too much for the some of the four legged entrants.

It was a good time for 155 (Maidenhead Squadron) Air Training Corps to recruit and Pilot Officer Ras Patel and Flight Lieutenant Paul Bennett took full advantage.
