Junior architects, designers and constructors worked together to create their own buildings last week - even though they are only still in Year 3 at school.

The youngsters were pupils at Claires Court School in College Avenue, Maidenhead and were working collectively on Thursday to make Lego buildings and cities.

They created mansions, hospitals, swimming pools, football stadiums and shops, to name just a few. The children went on to use electrical systems to light up their buildings and connect them using roads and landscaping materials.

Molly Mansfield, Year 3 junior girls teacher said: “It was fantastic to see the children being risk takers, relating their buildings and cities to real life communities and using their problem solving skills to overcome challenges they faced."
