All round 'goodie' Tim Brooke-Taylor will host this year's fund raising Christmas concert for Windsor's hospice.
He will be introducing performances by the Royal Harmonics and Windsor Boys and Girls Schools, while the Thames Hospice's own choir will feature staff and volunteers from the charity in Hatch Lane.
Alison Evans, Thames Hospice’s head of community and events fundraising, said: “We’re hoping for another sell-out night, so we can raise lots of funds to support our services – which are open 24/7 and caring for local people on Christmas Day, as any other day of the year. Please join us, and we promise you, your friends and family, will have fun and enjoy the magic of the festive season.”
The event takes place at the Wellington College at Duke's Ride, Crowthorne.
Alongside the music, will be readings from guests including the Mayor of Bracknell Councillor Tina McKenzie-Boyle, Thames Hospice ambassador Kate Atkinson, plus the charity’s medical director Doctor Cecily Wright. Tickets include mince pies and mulled wine, which will be served from 6.30pm.
This event raises funds through ticket sales and a retiring collection on the night. For more details, or to book, visit www.thameshospice.org.uk/wellington or call 01753 842121. Tickets are £15.
